once again funny
i thought that it was funny on chapter17 that bobby was talking to kelsey on the phone and trying to convince kelsey that his phone was messed up and that his dad came home because he was getting really embarrased and shy and kelsey was actually talking to him but he had no idea what she was teling him! i wonder how bobby actually worked up the nerve to call her? he sounded desperate, like he didnt even expect to actually hear her voice.

Yeah, I think this moment shows that he is growing as the book progresses. I think it is evident that he is quite shy, and I think that this is form that he is growing.

as you find out later in the book kelsey does like bobby and she probably was embarrassed and shy but happy at the same time.
